Considering the way the world is, one happy day is almost a miracle
Paolo Coelho

If you want to have a happy day, try not considering the way the world is. Try considering that the world is. I’m not saying that we can expect happiness all day, every day, not even in sunny Arizona. But, according to my spiritual heritage, there are more things to consider than our own physical realities. If you want to have a happy day, look for the lovely, the praiseworthy, and the good report. What harm can it do?

Try considering that any day is a miracle.  Think about all the ingredients that go into a sunrise, the infinite details of a bird and its song, the way photosynthesis ultimately provides our shade, food, and even breath.

Consider other planets with their bad weather and poor living conditions.  We might have ended up on one of those, and then what would we be?
