Yours is clearing off the snow,
mine is saying not to go;
you sweep the car with a broom
while I watch cozy in our room.
You rise early while I sleep late;
I cook the meat that’s on your plate;
you eye my veggies with disdain,
but walk the dog out in the rain.
You’re my media naranja, I swear;
opposites make the perfect pair.
This poem, dedicated to my husband, is inspired by A-mused poetry.
Am I okay to post this as part of the A Mused Poetry Contest?
