With robin’s egg, the stitches show;
I keep the mountains close this way;
for light cast by a sunset glow,
a goldfish yellow floss just may
add an image of fading day.
The far-off Catalina peaks,
jade at daybreak, by afternoon
become a cat that prowls and sneaks
to put its paws around the moon;
in dreams, it’s home my heart still seeks.

You used three of the color words in yours. I love the line about the cat putting its paws around the moon.
