Nature offers countless curiosities:
three snails unfurl from coiled shells,
stretch viscous necks on asphalt –
Where are they going? Why
do they travel alone? I wonder
how my dog’s shadow
feels to the southbound snail
and what would happen
if it looked up.

Different perspectives about individual curiosities, some we might not even consider especially with those who are, in this case, smaller than us. Sometimes, we would be better off not knowing. Well-written!

It’s an interesting thing to ponder: what inspires a snail to take one route or another?
