Invisible bees

The bee on the pot of gold
reminds me of the fox’s secret,
the unseen beauties in the field,
unmade honey in hidden hives.
In a field of flowers, so much
loveliness hides.

This is a response to the #whatsoever-is-lovely challenge after a visit to a coreopsis field. Just about any field reminds me of the fox in The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Pots of gold (coreopsis or tickweed) grow wild on our land.
