This is a response to the “Collaborative Dreaming” prompt for #OctPoWriMo. The form is called Joseph’s Star.
When the members of the Tempe Legacy writing group decided to collaborate on an anthology, we began with poems based on “Where I’m From” by George Ella Lyon. Her original poem inspired the collaborative international “I am From” project and is used with students of all ages to prompt discussions on their backgrounds.
