The last week has given us winter’s best with foggy mornings and sunny days. The mist gives the morning landscape an air of intrigue, like a veil over a beautiful face. Such a sight was rare in my Colorado childhood, usually happening in the mountains on our way somewhere. I always associate it with Peter, Paul and Mary’s song released in 1963, but haven’t sighted a dragon yet.
mist-shrouded morning
in an empty field; something
frolics beyond it
